About me
I am an independent consultant and qualified coach to barristers and sets of chambers, with more than 20 years’ senior experience working within leading commercial magic circle sets of chambers. My roles have included senior clerking, practice management, business development, strategy and recruitment. I bring deep, first-hand insight into how chambers operate in practice, how legal careers develop, and what underpins sustainable, successful practices at the Bar. I am deeply committed to the development and retention of legal talent, and my work focuses on helping individuals and chambers nurture careers, build resilient practices and create environments in which people can thrive over the long term.
I am regularly invited to contribute to thought leadership initiatives and panel discussions on practice management, talent retention, wellbeing and sustainable careers at the Bar, and have played an active role in profession-wide initiatives with the Commercial Bar Association and the Chancery Bar Association. In 2024 I was appointed to the reference group for Baroness Harriet Harman KC’s review in to bullying and harassment at the Bar. The findings were published in September 2025 and can be found here.
I was recognised in the The Lawyer Hot 100 2024 list and was the recipient of the Women & Diversity in Law Awards Unsung Hero in Leadership Award (2023) and now serve as a judge on the Awards’ judging panel.
I am known for combining commercial pragmatism with thoughtful, collaborative leadership, and for acting as a trusted adviser on sensitive and high-stakes issues for individuals and chambers alike.
